To celebrate Rosh Hashanah (any reason to celebrate), I am going to enjoy a fragrant Tokyo Rose Cocktail or a delightful Litchi martini, inspired by flavors and scents from the Far East. Grey Goose vodka, Sake, Midori melon liqueur, Mix equal parts in a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a cherry. SMOOTH.
If you can't make it to Tokyo, go to Hotel Okura in Amsterdam, the 23 floor bar has spectacular views of the city. KAMPAI! AND I think I'll be wearing Flower by Kenzo. The power of a fragile, singular flower ( a poppy) in a gorgeous unforgettably elegant bottle. LOVE! A field of 200,000 poppies sprang up in Toulouse, France last year for a spectacular event to promote Flower by Kenzo. People passing by were invited to pick the flowers. Kenzo is a contemporary fragrance for a modern, city woman who looks to nature for inspiration and renewal. Wild hawthorne, bulgarian rose, parma violet, cassia, hedione, cyclosal, opoponax, white musk, vanilla.Wednesday, 28 September 2011
