Guerlain Vetiver; He has me by my Heart

I love men's colognes on women, it's a subtle nod to thinking about a man you love or even just to fantasize that you just kissed a man and he left a subtle lingering of  fragrance.                     Off to the Races     I can't deny the way he holds my hand

And he grabs me, he has me by my heart

He doesn't mind I have a Las Vegas past

He doesn't mind I have an LA crass way about me

He loves me with every beat of his cocaine heart
It all started over 50 years ago, and it’s still going strong today. Guerlain Vetiver was first released in 1958, and then it was reformulated and repackaged in 2000. The newer version, which isn’t a far cry from the original, offers guys a classy and sexy cologne that they can appreciate. It’s filled with earthy scents of tobacco, nutmeg and coriander, as well as citrusy accords of orange and lemon. A beautiful balance between fresh and woodsy. Guerlain Vetiver is a distinctively men’s cologne. But it is my favorite.  Overall, the cologne has a warm, earthy aroma that’s intense and captivating. Given that that’s not the norm nowadays, Guerlain Vetiver provides a singular option for today’s modern man

A high-quality cologne is worth its weight in gold. That’s what makes Guerlain Vetiver such a worthy investment. While other, especially newer, fragrances target more gender-neutral bouquets, Vetiver is definitively masculine. The base notes of tobacco and citrus have an engaging interplay that makes it both fresh and earthy. When you wear it you’ll enjoy the contrast of its woodsy subtleness and citrusy refinement. It’s particularly nice during warm-weather months. That said, Guerlain Vetiver might not be your everyday fragrance, but it will definitely be the gold standard by which you judge your nighttime colognes.

New and more intensive Vetiver was introduced almost half a century after the classic Vetiver, which has remained one of the most popular men's fragrances until today.
The new Vetiver has got more modern tone due to intensified presence of spices. The green grassy notes are not so strong like in the classic Vetiver. In the top notes the citrus harmony of bergamot and lemon is followed by tarragon and Licorice note. The hot spicy notes of the heart include pepper and nutmeg, what accentuates the extreme adventurous side of the fragrance. Frankincense adds dramatic smoky note to the heart. The base is more oriental and intensive then the classic version, and beside vetiver root it includes cedar wood and balsamic Tonka bean note.

Perfume is my Prozac

The new Narciso Rodriguez is my poison this Halloween along with a sexy Australian Shiraz

The New Narciso Rodgriguez Perfume is so divine
"I wanted to create an extremely sexy fragrance that would turn a man’s head,” announces the designer, with the description, “The sensuality becomes a little bit more sexy, a little bit more intoxicating.”
The composition is composed of white gardenia and rose above the warm heart of musk. The base includes woody accords of vetiver and two types of cedar: black and white.
The bottle is simple: square, milky white with the name printed in black letters. The face of the perfume is a model Raquel Zimmermann.

FULLGLASS WINES SKULLS

The incredible art on the bottle is by Istvan Orosz Happy Birthday István Orosz http://web.axelero.hu/utisz/page.htm

A deeply coloured, monster of a wine packed with bold red and black fruit aromas with a touch of licorice and vanilla. The palate is dense with floral, smoky oak, vanilla and spice with firm tannins.

I am Black Swan this Halloween because I feel the duality of having a good an bad side. Mostly good though...

How to Celebrate New Years in Paris

1. Fireworks at the Champs-Elysees

Fireworks at the Champs-Elysees are perhaps the most traditional way to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Paris (and a must for all first time visitors.) Parisians and tourists alike begin arriving on the Champs-Elysees around 9pm on New Year’s Eve to get the best view of the Eiffel Tower. The metro is usually free on New Year’s Eve but leave relatively early to avoid counting down to midnight in a metro car! Once 12:00 am strikes, the Eiffel Tower lights up with fireworks. Bring your own champagne and be prepared to get to know your neighbours in the crowd.

Wear:Dior Addict

Oriental fragrance with floral notes. Rich, sensual, encourages you to bold and straightforward actions, it makes you feel free and energetic. Dance! The top notes are mandarin leaves and mulberry flowers; Night Queen Flower, Bulgarian rose and orange flower are in the heart; the base is created with Bourbon vanilla, sandal wood and Tonka bean.

2. Celebrate at Montmartre

If you want to see the fireworks but can’t stand the crowds, make your way to Montmarte and the Sacre Coeur. Although it’s a popular destination, there are still smaller crowds and an unbeatable night view of Paris lit up by fireworks.

Wear: Guerlain – La Petite Robe Noire

Its simple signature enhances and romances several exceptional materials in a bold overdose—black cherry blinks the first wink. It is illustrated by a clever blend that extends exquisite almond and delicious berries. The second wink takes place as rose enters the stage. Finally, the shadowy temptations of licorice and smoky black tea are ever-so-revealing and lead to irresistible seduction. For the ultimate temptation, the entire creation is wrapped in Guerlinade—fresh, enigmatic, and exhilarating, mischievous and captivating. Style: Fresh. Enigmatic. Exhilarating

3. New Year’s à la Francaise…

When in Paris, celebrate like a Parisian! New Year’s Eve, or St. Sylvestre, is traditionally celebrated by kissing at midnight and toasting with glasses of champagne or white wine. Hot wine (vin chaud) and hard cider are also popular beverages. Foie gras, oysters, and pâtés often make an appearance at both Christmas and New Year’s meals, along with papillotes, popular chocolate treats that open like firecrackers.

Wear: HERMÈS Eau des Merveilles

Eau des Merveilles tells the tale of an imaginary journey at Hermès, the feet on the ground, the head among the stars. A modern fairy tale, bursting with charm and mystery. The perfume of enchantment, capturing the spirit of wood, the memory of the oceans, and the sparkle of a constellation.

4. A Romantic New Year’s Eve

A dinner cruise on the Seine on New Year’s Eve promises the ultimate in romance (albeit a relatively expensive evening at 320-600 Euros). Other romantic possibilities include taking in one of Paris’ renowned cabaret shows at the Moulin Rouge, the Lido, or the Folies Bergère, all of which traditionally offer a decadent New Year’s dinner and show special which for 500 plus Euros offers caviar, lobster, champagne…. However, if your budget doesn’t allow for Paris’ finest cabarets, consider one of the city’s many restaurants who offer similar New Year’s Eve menus at more reasonable prices.

Wear: Lanvin Marry Me

Marry Me is a duo of exceptional ingredients, the sparkling freshness of Tunisian bitter orange and the sensuality of sambac jasmine.

5. Party like it’s 2012!

Paris is full of bars and clubs that will stay open until the wee hours of New Year’s Eve. Start your night with fireworks at the Champs-Elysees or Montmarte and work your way to nearby Pigalle for a guaranteed party. Another great clubbing spot is the Latin Quarter. Many clubs will have special New Year’s Eve events going on but this may mean higher door covers. Wherever you end up, you can rest assured of a great night and a New Year’s to remember!

Wear: Chanel COCO NOIR

Grapefruit, Calabrian bergamot, rose absolute, rose essence, jasmine absolute, narcissus, rose geranium leaf, Brazilian tonka bean, Venezuelan tonka bean, Indonesian patchouli, New Caledonian sandalwood, bourbon vanilla, white musk and frankincense.
OOOOOOOOOOOOH LALA!!

Je t'aime, moi non plus

"Je t'aime, moi non plus" This is one of the sexiest, frenchiest and scandalous songs ever written and it's the music to the Miss Dior Cherie commercial with Natalie Portman directed by Sophia Coppola. L♡VE The Studly singer SERGE GAINSBOURG:

One of the best singer-song writers from France, he defined a whole era in the 60's and 70's. There is also a fabulous movie about him, called Vie Heroique (2010 StudioCanal) and Gainsbourg, a Heroic Life (UK). Fabtasticulicious :) That said the sheer class and Frenchiness of Miss Dior Cherie makes me feel like I'm walking down the left bank wearing Chanel with my hair flowing in the breeze...
